Telling Tales’ Family Festival of Stories

Event Date: Sep 17, 2017

Escape into a storybook village where historical figures mingle with contemporary children’s literary stars, such as Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer and Anne of Green Gables.

It’s all happening this Sunday, September 17th at the 9th Annual Telling Tales Literacy Festival at Westfield Heritage Village in Rockton, Ontario, where 30 of Canada’s leading children’s authors, illustrators, musicians and storytellers will take center stage at this free, one-of-a-kind event for children and families.

The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is proud to partner with Telling Tales, a Canadian, not-for-profit organization committed to inspiring a love of reading and raising awareness of the importance of literacy in our communities. Families are invited to come out and enjoy live performances, book signings, costumed characters, a Giant Book Swap and Shop, a Children’s Activity Centre, contests and prizes, and much more.

Telling Tales promises to be an enjoyable experience for young and old, bringing together families in celebration of literacy and the arts. Come and join the fun.
